Anti-online gaming law adopted in US

US President Bush has signed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, part of the Safe Port Act on 13 October.

This new law will make it more difficult for US residents to engage in illegal online gambling transactions. For example, credit card companies will be forced no longer to take such illegal transactions.

As explained in an earlier article on this site, interstate online betting on horseracing remain lawful.
