US arrests CEO of online gaming firm

According to press reports, the chief executive of online gaming group Betonsports, was arrested by U.S. Federal authorities on sunday 16 july during a stop over in US soil at a UK-Costa Rica flight.

It is expected that the CEO will face charges under the Wire Act, which forbids the provision of online gambling services to US citizens. The share price of the company as well as all the other companies that make a living from illegally taking US online gambling customers fell sharply at trading today.
